TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my ninth year in the English Language Arts classroom. I spent four years in middle school and have taught high school since 2018. In addition to English, I've had the privilege of teaching Yearbook and Media Literacy. From an elite private school to a rural Title 1 school, I've worked with students of all backgrounds and love creating material that meets kids where they are at.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In developing my own teaching style, I have tried to become the teacher I always hoped for (but rarely had) as a young adult. I believe in making lessons relevant and engaging. I strive to make every lesson as interesting as possible. I want students collaborating, creating, communicating, and critically thinking on a daily basis.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

My undergrad focus was English and Communications. I received my MEd in Digital Education from Seattle Pacific University in 2019.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I currently live in Southern California with my husband and our two Dalmatians. When not creating ELA resources, I love to work on house projects while listening to audiobooks or podcasts.
