I believe that if pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for aspects of their work, and share learning experiences, they are more likely to identify correlations between ideas and concepts, and become more astute as independent thinkers and problem solvers. Therefore, every child, regardless of ability, can enrich each other’s learning. Accordingly, I make frequent use of collaborative learning techniques to share experiences and promote team building skills. When introducing new themes or concepts for learning, I encourage pupils to reflect upon what they already know and utilize their knowledge to participate in the lesson planning process. This helps promote critical reflection and understanding whilst simultaneously encouraging enquiry and discussion.
Whilst studying at university for my undergrad degree I won "Multimedia Student of the Year" for two consecutive years.
