I graduated from Western Governs University in December 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies K-8. I studied English as a Second Language through Alliant University and have attended two years of AVID summer institute training. I recently received my Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University for Secondary Education.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a 7th year teacher. I have three daughters, ages 20, 16, and 5 and a husband who is retired military. I am very blessed. I taught five years of sixth grade ELA in California. Now beginning anew in Tennessee. Last year I taught 8th grade ELA. This year I have been blessed to of found an amazing district where I teach 5th/6th grade ELA. Next year I will be the AVID School Liaison and add in one 5/6th grade CTE course. When not teaching, I love spending time with my family. We love to go camping and hiking as well as exploring our new home state.
