I like to think outside the box to inspire my students, get to know them and their families, and connect their learning to their interests. I have consulted administration and teachers to help improve behavior systems in their schools, so positive behavior support is a strength of mine. I love incorporating Social-Emotional Learning into my classroom to empower my students to be assertive, compassionate people.

I enjoy teaching ELA along with SS and Texas History. I try to be innovative and build on the strengths of my students, while challenging them to think outside the box to synthesize what they've learned. When I'm not working at school, I'm a mom of two. I am a Texas History enthusiast, and enjoy visiting cultural, ecological, and historically significant places.
