TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 18th year of teaching. I have taught 3 years in 1st grade and 14 years in 2nd grade! I have a deep passion for teaching and creating engaging resources is my hobby. I feel so blessed to be inspiring our future.

MY TEACHING STYLE

"No child learns the same - but every child CAN learn!" This quote pretty much sums up my teaching style - a hands-on, differentiated approach to learning.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was nominated and chosen as Teacher of the Year for my amazing school in 2013-2014. I had been nominated 3 previous years so it was such an honor to be selected. Very blessed!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am actually teaching at the same elementary school I attended as a child! Very surreal, but I can honestly say it is the BEST school around. I graduated from Flower Mound Marcus in 1998 and went on to Texas Tech University to graduate in 2002. I earned my BS in Communication Studies and Psychology. I then went on to LeTourneau University where I earned by BS in Elementary Education.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm a busy mom of 2 precious children. My daughter is 13 years old and my son is 11. I am married to my best friend who is also a teacher.
