Miss Resourcefulness

I have been teaching for ten years in both primary and secondary schools. I have taught a variety of age groups and really love to help children strive to reach their potential and to ignite their love of learning through interesting and useful resources. Teaching is about knowing your students and always wanting the best for them. Sometimes you will be the only smile or person they have to talk to all day. I believe that teachers need to earn respect before demanding it and that all student's need to be understood. Clear boundaries and consequences are essential. Students respond to fair expectations and routine. Being a teacher is one of the most important jobs in the world. Some of the children that need our help the most, will ask for it in the most unusual ways. It is our job to realise this and see the best version of them and be their voice when they cannot speak up. All children should have the right to learn in a safe and supported classroom.

I graduated from the University of Queensland, St. Lucia in 2011 with a dual degree of a Bachelor of Secondary Education and Arts, majoring in English and History. I was raised in caring and loving family where I learnt to be compassionate, kind and to treat others the way I wish to be treated. I am a feminist, mother, teacher and dreamer. I believe in empowering others, especially girls.

I am a Mumma of two and know from experience the struggle of juggling children and a career. Teachers Pay Teachers help many teachers to find worthwhile and excellent resources to enhance their student's learning. I strive to make my resources targeted, fun, useful and educational. We all want to be able to have the best activities for our students, but not all of us have the time to do so!
