I have taught Kindergarten and 1st grade for 10 years. I graduated from Mills College with my Masters in Education. My training at Mills specialized in arts integration, social justice, and classroom community. I now serve as a teacher coach and teacher resource creator.
I believe that classroom community and environment is the most important fact for helping students be successful. I practice the Nurtured Heart Approach, which celebrates the individuality of each student by helping them recognize their own greatness and refusing to energize negative behavior. I also believe strongly in arts integration and hands-on learning. I incorporate these principles into all of my lessons and products.
