Lib Anatomy school

My experience working with children in a school setting began in 2003. I worked as an employee for an after school program in a nearby school district. I was responsible for tutoring students ranging in age from Pre-K - Grade 8. In the following years, while attending college for Elementary Education, I was able to head one of these afterschool programs in our area’s. During this time, I wrote activity plans, educational units, and created crafts for the kiddos in my care. It was a great experience! I subbed for two years and during this time, I held a couple of full-time sub positions, as well as a co-teaching position at a nearby district. I also worked for a Teen Outreach program that allowed me to go into the homes of children and teens that were in need of a positive mentor. I really grew to appreciate my time doing this. It allowed me to see into the homes of some of our most needy children. To this day, I am so grateful for this experience. Eventually, I was hired as a first grade teacher and then found myself in fifth grade after two years of being in the district that hired me. I absolutely LOVED teaching, but I made the VERY difficult decision to leave the classroom in 2022. After a great deal of stress trying to balance working as a teacher full-time, being a successful and motivated business owner

I always loved hands-on education. I loved innovative thinking and integrating technology into my classroom. I wanted to do whatever I could do to have my students enjoy coming to school! Learning really can be fun and it's was always my personal mission to show my students just that. I really enjoy speaking to other teachers and seeing what works and doesn't work for them as well. There is always so much to learn.
