I have homeschooled my two kids for the past 16 years. Additionally, for the past eight years I have taught classes at a Homeschooling Learning Center. Classes I have taught include: Forensics and Crime Solving; Einstein and his Buddies (History of Science); Wild, Wild West (America in the 1800s); War and Missiles (America in the 1900s); Medieval Careers; Elements and the Periodic Table; Writing Thru History, and Colonial American Careers.
I love to teach a class where the students are so engaged that they don't realize they are in the middle of a lesson. My lesson plans include background information on the subject being taught followed by an activity; then I offer a little more information on the subject followed by another activity. Activities can include a craft, project, food, music, video clip, role-playing, review game, or any other engaging activity.
