TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently a special education teacher in 15:1 self-contained classroom in a public school in Westchester County, NY. I have previously taught fifth grade inclusion (co-teach) as the special education teacher in a public school in a public school on Long Island and in Queens. I also taught first grade as the general education teacher in a private school on Long Island.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in using mindfulness and yoga to create a community and as a form of classroom management. I am environmentally friendly and hope to make my students active citizens in their communities and schools. It is my goal to have my students leave my classroom at the end of the year as positive, conscientious, and mindful children.
