TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a second grade inclusion teacher for four years. I looped with my third graders one year and taught fourth. This is my tenth year teaching third grade. Before then, I spent two years tutoring for a well known tutoring company. I love a challenge including new standards or anything to do with technology. Anything that I can do to better prepare my students is my number one goal.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in teaching with current events and real life experiences. I love a friendly competition, and my students thrive off of it. I believe an open discussion will only lead to higher levels of thinking. As long as my students are learning, we will keep talking! Did I mention that I LOVE Classroom Book A Day read alouds? It's my favorite time of the day to foster the love of reading!
