I taught Kindergarten for twelve years and, although I loved it, I decided it was time for a change. I'm just finishing my first year in first grade and I've had a blast so far!
Young children are far more likely to remember something they discover rather than something they are told. I like to provide my kindergartners with many opportunities to reach conclusions, explore concepts, and create.
Named one of San Jose Magazine's "Educators of the Year"
I graduated from Santa Clara University with my degree in Liberal Studies in 2003. In 2007 I received my multiple subject teaching credential from the state of California.
I live in San Jose, California with my five-year-old son, Sam.
