TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started my teaching career in Chula Vista, CA in 2013. During my five years at that school, I taught chemistry, physics, AVID, and AP Chemistry. Then I moved up to the Seattle, WA area to pursure my master's while teaching Physics in the Universe, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics 2! Now, I'm in Carlsbad, CA teaching chemistry! I absolutely love what I do, and am consistently looking to better my teaching practice. I've been the physics lead for an Engineering and Science Partnership grant, been trained in Kagan Cooperative Learning and working on Ambitious Science Teaching.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to limit my lectures in class and create curriculum that is interactive, concise, and effective. In this store, you will mostly find my AP Curriculum- which is heavily lecture based, but with plenty of student practice and discussions thrown in.
