TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Thirty years ago I began the journey of a lifetime when I entered my first classroom. Since that first day, I have explored several career paths outside of education that took me into corporate education, teacher education, and private business. The one common thread in every path was curriculum development for corporate education, science, math, social studies, health, technology, speech, and even "wood shop"!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a devoted believer that the person doing the talking is doing the learning. I am the AVID Site Coordinator for my school, which means I seek to provide rigor for all students by incorporating writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading into all assignments, otherwise known as "WICOR-izing" assignments.
