TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 7th year teaching Special Education. I began teaching at an non-public school for students with severe and profound Autism. In the public schools I have worked as a Resource Specialist, Life Skills Teacher and now 3rd-5th grade Education Specialist. I work with students with Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities, ADHD and other needs.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style fluid to meet the needs of my students. I utilize centers, individual and whole class instruction. My teaching is very interactive and hands-on.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I studied Early Childhood Education at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio. There I earned my Multiple Subject teaching credential. After moving to California, I enrolled in Point Loma Nazarene University where I obtained my mild/moderate and moderate/severe teaching credentials. In 2015, I earned my MA in Special Education: Classroom Interventions.
