I (Mitch) am a Graphic Design and Technology teacher (for the past 7 years)...BUT...I've taught all levels Kinder - 12th. I am certified generalist, and the disciplines I've taught are Physical Education (K-12), Science (6-8), Art (6-8), Personal Finance (6-8), Graphic Design (6-8), Web Business (6-8), Yearbook (6-12), and Technology (6-8). I've also been a reading intervention pull-out specialist...AND...a football/basketball coach. Courtney (beautiful wife) is currently a Linguistics teacher who specializes in Dyslexia. In addition to Linguistics, she taught Middle School Social Studies for 15 years. Courtney has also coached volleyball, basketball, track, and golf. When not in the classroom, Mitch and Courtney love spending time with family!
We've found that teaching by example works best. We have a very "Cue, Do, Review" mentality when it comes to teaching students and adults. We perform the concepts/tasks/strategies first...then help the students (and teachers) mirror what we do. We also understand the value of learning the passions of our students. Once we can identify what they are passionate about (what they love), we can create a more impacting curriculum by showing the student how their passions relate to the lessons being taught.

Mitch is an international award winning Design and Technology teacher. His primary focus as an educator is to better understand how each individual student "conducts" their own style of learning so he can offer authentic assessment in an effort to truly identify knowledge and skill development. Courtney is has a ton of classroom experience both as a teacher and a coach. Her passion to see her students excel is only surpassed by her desire for teachers to encounter a more stress free environment. She understands the stresses associated with classroom management and the ever evolving school atmosphere. "Mrs. Fairchild" is constantly praying for all the teachers out there who continue to share their heart and compassion with students around the world!
