Jennifer was born and raised in New York and spent the beginning of her educational career providing behavior analytic services to individuals throughout NYC’s 5 boros. She has experience in early intervention, school age, and transition services for young adults. Jennifer has worked with individuals with complex needs from birth through the age of 25. Jennifer served many roles at her previous agency where she also served as a Special Education Coordinator who would read, review, evaluate, and determine the most appropriate services and collaborate with parents, administrators and service providers to determine age-appropriate functional goals and required services to ensure student success in the New York City Department of Education. Jennifer and her fiance moved to Dallas, TX in the summer of 2017. There she worked as a Special Education Teacher in Dallas ISD in a combined Functional Living Skills (FLS) and Total Communication/Autism (TC) classroom in East Dallas. She was quickly promoted to Specialized Programs Instructional Specialist in the fall of October 2018 and provided district-wide instructional and behavioral support for teachers and students in self-contained classrooms. During her time as an Instructional Specialist, she embarked on various community-based projects such as the “Homegrown BCBA” program which created a partnership with Dallas ISD and the University of North Texas at Denton. This allowed for staff members to obtain the necessary BACB coursework, as well as the 2,000 clinical hours required for the BCBA exam. Jennifer also worked closely with establishing a partnership with UNT’s College of Education and collaborated on a joint grant that allowed for teachers in Dallas ISD to enroll into a free master’s degree program with an emphasis in Autism Intervention. She is also an executive board member at Alliance/AFT supporting teachers, students, and families!
