I am a middle school teacher currently teaching at an international school in Kiev, Ukraine. I taught 7th and 8th grade social studies, language arts, and science in Georgia for 15 years prior to moving overseas. I have taught in Japan, Turkmenistan, and China and love the opportunity to truly experience a country by living in it. The life lessons that I acquire from being immersed in a different culture allow me to be a better teacher. My husband, a high school teacher, and my two children also enjoy living and learning overseas.
All students can learn. Given the proper environment, great success is possible of every single student. I love working with hands-on activities that allow students to think and create at the same time.

I love traveling to unusual, remote corners of the world. Musical theater makes me giddy. Back in the day, I traveled for one year in a fantastic educational, musical group called Up With People. Ever heard of it? If you have, drop me an email and say hello.
