TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked in New York as a: -Kindergarten Classroom Teacher -1st Grade Classroom Teacher -2nd Grade Classroom Teacher -5th Grade Classroom Teacher 1-1 Aide Instructional Aide Classroom Aide Building Intern Student Teacher In addition to my experience as an elementary lead classroom teacher, I have worked in grades 6-12 as an aide for: -Students with special needs -General education students -Students with emotional needs I have literally worked in every grade from Kindergarten through 12th graders. My experience makes me well rounded, and with an idea of where students are coming from and where they are going!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I want my students to understand that learning means challenging themselves to work to their maximum potential every single day. I encourage them to take risks and to step out of their comfort zone. I consistently stress that some of the most important learning occurs when we make mistakes. The process of figuring out what went wrong, and fixing a mistake to be correct is a powerful experience!
