TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have happily taught middle school for 25 years. My experiences teaching 6th and 8th graders have taught me how important relevant, engaging, and challenging instruction and curriculum must be for this age group. Often times, 6th grade curriculum is overlooked as it sits right in the middle of elementary and high school curriculum. One of my goals is to create quality resources I believe are needed for this particular grade level.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style? Well, I am always changing. I hardly ever use the same lesson plans from year to year. I usually tweak and develop them to meet the needs of my students. With the new technologies available, I am able to take solid curriculum and add a new level of relevancy and engagement for the students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am a proud to be a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescent English Language Arts for nearly 20 years. I am also a Google Certified Educator.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am always learning - mostly from my own students!
