Constant engagement is my motto! I believe that--as poet W.B. Yeats is credited with saying--"Education is not so much about the filling of a bucket as it is about the lighting of a fire!" Students need to learn that learning is fun--and that includes standards based lessons!
I've received many academic honors and awards, but the greatest honors I've received include marriage to my wonderful wife and the opportunity to educate kiddos each day!
I graduated with honors from one of the nation’s top-ranking elementary education programs, found at Utah State University. Furthermore, my expertise increased by earning a master’s degree in science education from Western Governor’s University. Thank you to all who have helped educate me over the years!
I taught in Wyoming for six years before moving to my rural hometown in Utah where I currently teach. We have four rowdy but lovable boys and one adorable baby girl. You name it, and I enjoy doing it; my favorite hobbies include being outdoors, playing piano, juggling, fixing cars, working with wood. . .and--of course--teaching!!!
