TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently teach dual credit English, on level English 3 (11th grade), and debate. In the past I have taught all grades of high school English, AP Lang, theatre- high school and middle school, and 7th grade creative writing. I have sponsored student council and coached numerous Texas UIL academic events.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in breaking down writing into smaller pieces to better help students understand the writing process. I incorporate multimodal texts whenever possible and loving bridging old texts with contemporary texts. My PhD in English focused on writing pedagogy.
