After nine years teaching seventh and eighth grade math and science at a school for at-risk youth, I have moved on to teach STEM. I have developed my own curriculum and studied a variety of teaching styles. I have a masters degree that focuses on teaching science using inquiry, and I have had a lot of experience with center-based learning.
I am like Bill Nye the Science Guy. I am high energy and incorporate a great deal of creativity and exploration into my science classes. I use inquiry-based teaching techniques.

I recently began drawing an educational comic series called The Cool School Rap to help address the lack of literacy in my classroom. My students have an aversion to reading and steer clear of textbooks and paragraphs. The Cool School Rap guides students' learning with the use of word bubbles, illustrations, diagrams, and examples. These comics align with the Common Core standards for middle school and also incorporate inquiry activities.
I know I was born to educate through my art, and it is my goal to reach as many learners as possible. If you have any suggestions for my product or content, feel free to contact me!
