TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After teaching 8 years, I am currently being a stay at home mommy. I miss the classroom, and look forward to going back when my children are older. I have taught first, second, and third grade. I also have experience working with fourth and fifth grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that a hands-on approach works best. I love to give students time to work through problems on their own or with small group guidance. I teach very little lecture style class and keep those to a short 15 minute mini-lesson. The bulk of my teaching occurs in small group instruction and inquiry based learning.
