I am an experienced teacher, principal and curriculum coordinator in Columbus, Ohio. My experience is primarily working in high-need schools where student engagement and literacy are a great need. To compensate, I have worked to create engaging curriculum and activities that are both rigorous and engaging to students. In addition to teaching, I also have served as an International Seminar Coordinator, an assistant high school principal at an International High School, an elementary school principal at a Spanish Immersion School and a K-12 curriculum coordinator. In the science universe, we have published a wild animal conservation card game through Kickstarter that you might find at your local zoo!
Student engagement by any means necessary. I have been selected as a founding teacher at both an innovative STEM high school and an International High School. Both experiences promoted cross-curricular collaboration, project-based and inquiry learning.
2011 Award for Teacher Professional Leadership. Nominated for State of Ohio's International Educator of the Year (2013)
I have a Bachelor's degree in education from Wright State University and a Master's from Ohio State in Educational Policy and Leadership and I have started a Ph.D
Most importantly I am a husband to MacKenzie and a father of four little conservationists, Logan (10), Leah (8), Cara (4) and Callie (2).
