Lisa’s love for music began at a young age. As a child she had many opportunities to sing at different venues around her home town of Lakeland, Fl. After being encouraged by her elementary music teacher, she auditioned and was excepted into the prestigious Harrison School for the Arts to study under Judy Mclaurin. After high school, Lisa received her B.M.E. from Lee University with an emphases on vocal performance. Lisa was also a member of the Lee University Singers and a smaller touring vocal group called Second Edition. After college, Lisa was hired to run the music resource library for the Lee University music department. During that time she became proficient in music copyright law and how it was applied to educational situations. After a few years at Lee, Lisa moved to the Nashville area to start her teaching career. With over ten years of teaching experience to draw from, Lisa is currently teaching at Eakin Elementary School in Shelbyville, Tn. That practical real world experience is an invaluable ingredient to the Boompak team. Lisa also has an Orff certification and plans on incorporating Orff technique into as many Boompak arrangements as possible.
