TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught 6th grade language arts my first year of teaching. Then I moved to fifth grade and taught fifth graders for 6 years. I am currently in my third year as an elementary (K-5) librarian. I teach library lessons to all students and I have groups of K-5 students that come to me everyday for RTI classes.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am very student centered, and really enjoy the process of creating and using project-based and inquiry based lessons. The students are given the opportunity to take ownership of their learning.
