TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching for 19 years. I taught 1st grade for four years before moving to Kindergarten. I've found "home" in Kindergarten for the past fifteen years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My classroom is very hands-on! I use learning centers and literacy centers focusing on weekly themes for a large portion of my instructional time. Technology plays a large part in the learning in my classroom also. We added ten iPad minis to our classroom recently through Donors Choose projects and will be adding fifteen more in the fall due to a district-wide bond. I can't wait to implement one-to-one technology in the classroom!

I graduated from Western Michigan University with an Elementary Education degree and endorsements in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Language Arts, Math, and Science.
