My name is Mrs. Anderson, and I have been teaching for 10 years. I have served as an 8th and 9th grade Pre-Advanced Placement Language Arts teacher at Stillwater Jr. High in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Currently, I am serving as an educational technology specialist and as a coordinator for the Oklahoma State University Writing Project as well as a teaching consultant for the National Writing Project's College, Career, and Community Writer's Program. I also serve on the board of Operation Engagement, a nonprofit that provides classroom transformation kits and professional development for teachers. In addition, I am an adjunct professor at Oklahoma State University in the English Education and Educational Technology departments. I have previously taught 11th and 12th grade English, Journalism, Computer Applications I and II, and Speech and Debate. I am a Google Level 2 certified teacher, a Nearpod certified educator, a Quizlet Ambassador, a SeeSaw Pioneer, and a Flipgrid Student Voice Ambassador.
Literature and history flood to us as a sea of voices; some are mere breathless whispers, and some are thunderous bellows. I am the interpreter, the moderator, and the lighthouse. I help students find their voices among the din.
