TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I just completed my 6th year teaching in a self-contained classroom for students with Autism grades 3-5. I'm based at a public school in Northern Virginia.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love creating adapted materials to help all of my learners succeed! Many of my students participate in the Virginia Alternative Assessment Program (VAAP) so I make a lot of materials to align to these standards.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I created and led an Autism Awareness Day at my school that helped spread acceptance!

I have a Masters in Special Education K-12 and a graduate level certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis and in Adapted Curriculum from George Mason University
