What educators are saying

I needed an alternative for a special ed student who couldn't read Long Way Down due to gun violence. I reduced the number of questions (which are thorough), and the unit worked well. Thank you!
I was so excited to create a unit on The Crossover for my students! They loved it :) I was able to use this resource to help supplement the lessons and key information.

This is a complete and no-prep novel study of the The Crossover by Kwame Alexander-- the winner of the 2015 Newberry Medal. It is a story told in free verse and hip-hop verse. It tells the beautiful story of Josh Bell's close knit family and a tragedy through the context of basketball. It will definitely engage your students. I love, love, love it!
