¿Qué Tiempo Hace? Spanish Weather and Much More!

Spanish weather and so much more! This 12-page mini unit is a colorful introduction to weather expressions that includes practice with geography, map skills, charts, math, and science. In addition to all the usual vocabulary, reading, and writing, students will also learn about metric measures of temperature and precipitation, make conversions, and make comparisons between the northern and southern hemispheres.

I have included a very wide variety of activities to keep students interested, motivated, and to appeal to all their diverse skills. Some activities included are: interpreting maps and icons, true/false, multiple choice, crossword, converting temperatures to metric, interpreting a chart, dialogue, sketches, opposites, word search, and several suggestions for teachers to incorporate extension projects.

The product is in vivid color and will be perfect for students in a one-to-one environment, but I have also included black-and-white masters for you to use at the copy machine. An answer key is included too!

The material here is appropriate for Level 1 Spanish students in middle and high school.

Every Spanish teacher needs this! It can be used alone or as an accompaniment to the textbook, or you could leave it with a substitute since all the instructions are written in English. It would make a great emergency lesson plan and is plenty of work for a block day (or two).
