Guided Reading Leveled Book List (Q-Z)

I created a book list for guided reading levels Q through Z. This handout will come in handy at open houses, parent teacher conferences, and for your students. Parents often don't know what types of books to get for their child. This list gives a variety of book options to buy or check out at the library. This past year, I gave this list to my students and their families and they now feel confident going to the library and checking out a "just right" book.

Fourth Graders should be reading a level S by the end of the year (Lexile Conversion is 775).

Fifth graders should be reading a level U by the end of the year. (Lexile Conversion is 875).

Sixth graders should be reading a level W by the end of the year.
(Lexile Conversion is 950).

Seventh graders should be reading a level Y by the end of the year. (Lexile Conversion is 1,025).

Eighth graders should be reading a level Z by the end of the year. (Lexile Conversion is 1,075).
