Both of these books are available as read alouds on YouTube if you don't have the books. Harlem Grown is a true story about a man who helped a local school turn a "haunted garden" into an urban farm for the students. Maybe Something Beautiful is about a little girl who lives in a "grey city". She and a local artist brighten the neighborhood through art. These are great stories for STEAM and being a good community member.
