Boom-Tubes (make and play)
Students will experiment with Boom-tubes (boom-whackers) learning that even a plastic tube can be an instrument. They will watch a video of a Boom-tube choir for inspiration. Next, the students will explore the connection between pitch and length as they hunt for an assigned pitch amongst the tubes. Once all groups have discovered the correct lengths, they will learn to play a song on Boom-tubes. Next time students come to class they will each receive a set of 8 (a C scale) of Boom-tubes to use
