Each day us teachers should be practicing Oral Irish for at least 5 minutes a day. I have created a PowerPoint to blast through each day (some days I will get 20 questions answered by the children, other days I will get 3 questions answered, the important part is that it will be the children talking). This is a powerpoint revising over the numbers. The class should be very familiar with the numbers 1-5 already and might need a little teaching of the numbers 6-10. After you feel the class are familiar enough with the numbers there will be some pictures that have a number hidden in it somewhere. Each picture will only have one number hidden.
This is a powerpoint revising over all the farm animal names from Bua na Cainte. There will be a different animal in bed on each slide. The slides asks 'Cé atá sa leaba?' The class look at the slide and answer - 'Tá madra sa leaba'. etc. After the powerpoint there is a great story in the story section of Bua na Cainte app. It is in the 'An Teilifís' sections under the title 'Scéal'. It is called 'An Feirmeoir'.
