TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Cindy Martin was an elementary teacher for 20 years. National Board Certified in 2003 in early childhood. She began her career in Orange County Public Schools 1996-2000 and worked in Volusia County Public Schools from 2000-2017. Her main goal is to inspire students to love learning by creating engaging educational experiences. She believes that RIGOR and ENGAGEMENT can COEXIST. Cindy Martin loves to take ordinary lessons and make them extraordinary!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Mrs. Martin is an elementary teacher, National Board Certified in 2003 in early childhood. She has two children, a son who is in 12th grade and a daughter attending SCAD. Mrs. Martin believes that it is necessary to acknowledge visual, auditory and tactile learning styles when teaching students. She uses a balanced approach to teaching students. Her main goal is to inspire students to love learning by creating FUN educational experiences. She loves incorporating new technology in her classroom, and is a child advocate. Students in the past have fond memories of her Polar Express PJ Day, hot cocoa on cold mornings, making personality pigs,writing books, her photo albums she makes for each student, mixing liquid to make GAK, using candy for math, seeing her dressed up like The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, trips to the Treasure Box for good behavior and fun literacy center activities. She writes blogs and started this store to inspire teachers to be creative in the classroom. You can follow her on Twitter under the name Teachersbrain.
