Encourage your students to have fun with opinion writing! Suitable for several grade levels, each of the 40 writing assignments include a self-editing writer's checklist and place to draw/glue supporting materials such as magazine clippings and personal photographs!

Weekly Writing Portfolio (40 Prompts) Specifications:
► Title Page ‣ There are multiple covers to choose from (including 1 black and white version - perfect for students' to add their own touches)
► Two pages of binder spine labels ‣ suitable for 1" and 1.5" spines
► 40 prompts ‣ 1 prompt per page (my students generally complete 1 prompt per week)
► Every prompt has space for written work and drawing/photograph or collage clippings from print media.
► Every prompt has space for self-checking their work ‣ students must check off the boxes at the bottom of each page for Capitals, Spacing, Spelling and Punctuation.
► Includes a 2-page teacher checklist of all 40 weekly prompts if you plan on handing these out one at a time. Simply check off the prompts as you go (if you're obsessed with organization like I am) or disregard these checklists if you are printing double sided and placing into duo tangs/binders :)
► Fantastic resource for independent creative and opinion writing
► Excellent tool for year-long assessments
► Individual pages can be displayed at your writing center or handed out as needed
► Can be printed on both sides to save paper
► Portfolios can be bound together with staples or 3-ring binders with plastic sleeves on the front (this is what I prefer because it is the most durable)
► Spine labels can be printed onto colored paper and students (or you) can write their names before "'s Writing Portfolio" for fast recognition. Here's a tip for easy insertion of the spine labels: print on cardstock - they slide in without bunching up :)
► Use year after year! I have not written any dates on this product, so it is suitable for many years to come :)
