Write the Room Bundle

Each packet contents:

- 2 differentiated recording sheets (dotted words or blank lines)

- 48 picture / word cards

Write the room is a fun and engaging literacy center activity. It gives students the opportunity to move around, interact with pictures and text found within the classroom. Students also get to practice their hand-eye coordination and handwriting. This packet includes 6 picture word cards for each letter of the alphabet to place around your classroom for students to find. Also included are 2 differentiated recording sheets (portrait or landscape). You can also choose between a trace the word or a write the word recording sheet.

Print the picture cards onto cardstock and laminate for durability. Cut out each card so that you have 6 to 12 cards in total to place around your classroom. Students will need a recording sheet, pencil and a clipboard. Alternatively, choose to use these in a literacy center. Simply give your students the picture cards, a recording sheet and ask them to record each word they find.

Also feel free to use this activity as a word work station. Give your students foam letters or magnet letters to build each word.
