Description
In this World War I (WWI) trench warfare reading and stations activity, students are introduced to life in the trenches during World War One. Students are first guided through an engaging PowerPoint presentation that introduces the start of World War I, why it begins, the role of the United States, and what fighting was like. Students will also watch TWO of the included video clips that show the hardships and conditions of the trenches. Then, students will navigate the room in a stations-based activity where students investigate SIX different sources from those who actually fought in those conditions! Students will compile their evidence on a bubble map, then complete a summative writing assignment to showcase what they've learned!
A Google 1:1 compatible version is included in this product! Use in either a traditional setting or in the 1:1 environment!
This activity is included in the much larger World War I Bundle! Scramble for Africa, Causes, Trench Warfare, & Versailles!
