Description
This World War II Battles Radio Show Project is a cooperative learning project that has students read about 7 key battles of World War 2 and create engaging radio news segments just like Americans would have heard in the 1940's!
Everything you need to complete this fun, creative lesson about the key battles of World War 2 is included! You will receive:
- A directions page that explains how the war unfolded for Americans via the radio and what students need to do to create a radio news segment.
- Seven 1-page readings about key battles of World War II: (Pearl Harbor, Midway, El Alamein, Stalingrad, D-Day, Iwo Jima, & Okinawa)
- A rubric on how to grade the presentations.
- A peer evaluation sheet so students can score their partners based on their participation.
My students have made some incredibly entertaining reports over the years, complete with sound effects and fantastic old-time accents! These can be presented in front of the class or recorded and turned into podcasts or MP3s based on your technology resources.
An editable Google Docs version of the download is also included along with a rubric for your convenience!
