Word Work Book for Intermediate Grades (4-6) - Greek & Latin Roots

This product is PERFECT for a Word Work Center in Daily Five! It also addresses Common Core Standards for Intermediate Grades (4-6). Each root has an activity/sort for each week. Activities vary to keep students engaged. If you and your students like doing the same thing every week, then this probably is not for you.

Activities include...
1. Picture association - Pictures are provided and students must write the word from their sort they associate with the picture & underline the root in each word.
2. I have/Who has - A review game that asks them to recall word definitions
3. Creating sentences and illustrations - A way for students to apply their knowledge of the definition
4. Using context clues, students will complete sentences.
5. Vocabulary Cartoons - Students will create cartoons & captions using context clues & pictures to help them remember the word's definition


Every two weeks students will have a quiz. 20 weeks in all! Answer keys included at the back of the book.
