WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THIS UNIT?
★ OUTLINE OF LESSONS
I label each lesson with a number to help keep you organized! A three page lesson plan/outline is also included so you can see how I sequence the lessons and activities.
★ SLIDESHOWS
A beautiful real-life picture slideshow accompanies most lessons. These coordinate with activity pages in each lesson. Students love to see pictures of the Earth, the four seasons, weather and more!
★ FOUR SEASONS
Lessons 1-16 teach all about the four seasons. We learn about how the Earth's tilted axis causes our four seasons, the weather in each season, clothes we wear and activities for each season... plus so much more.
Included are posters, slideshows, four mini books, worksheets, and hands on activities.
★ WEATHER
Lessons 17-25 teach all about the weather and meteorologists. Students learn how to read 7-day forecasts and students even make their own to share with the class. We learn about the three main types of clouds and do an experiment making our own.
Three BONUS digital activities are included to learn more about the weather including a daily weather graph, make your own 7-day forecast, and a slide where students can show the weather today and sing along with the embedded weather song.
These bonus digital activities are compatible with both Google Slides and PowerPoint and have moveable pieces.

★ EXTREME WEATHER
Lesson 26-35 cover five extreme types of weather: tornados, hurricanes, floods, heatwaves and blizzards. Students take notes from the slideshow onto their graphics organizer and write complete sentences. They make a flip book and can color their own extreme weather mini book.
