- Google Slides™
What educators are saying
Description
In this assignment students will engage in a project-based learning activity that highlights significant moments in WWII. Using the provided Google Slide template, students will create a museum exhibit that shows the key events that happened throughout World War II beginning with the causes and concluding with Germany's unconditional surrender.
Student's will be required to conduct research in order to choose the images and video clips showing primary source footage that best highlight the importance of each assigned event.
For each exhibit they will add an appropriate image in the space provided that will link to their information and analysis. Then, each exhibit will include a newspaper headline describing the event (this may be either a screenshot of a primary source or one that students personally create using programs such as Canva or Google Drawing), a primary source image or video with a brief caption, and their written answer(s) to the questions for each time period and applicable exhibit.
There are 6 rooms in total and include the following topics:
Room 1: Causes of WWII
Room 2: WWII in 1940
Room 3: Operation Barbarossa
Room 4: The Battle of Stalingrad
Room 5: Italy in WWII
Room 6: WWII in 1944-1945
