Virtual Trip to Japan

This virtual field trip to Japan can be used to give a general overview of Japanese culture, as an opportunity to practice group collaboration and problem-solving, and as a way to teach students how to budget.

Students will "travel" together in groups with varying budgets. They will make decisions as a group about flight choices, accommodation, food, which city to visit, a nature activity to participate in, a cultural activity to participate in, and which souvenir to bring home.

Students will discuss what's important to them when traveling to a new country before leaving. After the journey, they will discuss their budget, Japanese culture, and how they made decisions together as a group.
