Valentine Patterns {Tika-Tika}

Looking for a fun, engaging way to practice rhythmic concepts with your students (especially around Valentine's Day)? This set includes:

*A slideshow for tika-tika (including quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes, and quarter rest.) You can view the PDF like a slideshow by going to "view," then "full screen." The slideshow comes with a title page with 12 Valentine cookies/ conversation hearts. Either throw a squishy or koosh ball at your SMART board, or have students tap the cookie or heart of their choice, and read that pattern! Each cookie or heart will bring up a different slide.
*A reading assessment with directions: This can be done in learning centers. Students read five patterns individually to the teacher; a rubric is included!
