Description

Included are 5 story problem pages helping students understand the concept of making a table to organize their information when trying to find multiplication combinations.

One sample problem included is shown below:

Bobby was going out for lunch and wanted soup and salad. There were 4 different choices of soup on the menu, including: tomato, french onion, chicken noodle, and chili.

There were also 5 different choices for salads. There was the Southwestern, Caesar, Julianne, Blue cheese, and grilled chicken
salad.

How many different combinations of soup and salad did Bobby have to choose from?

Students are shown how to make a table, and they need to fill in all of the possible combinations to find the answer.

There is also an notebook page included so students can refer back to their interactive math notebooks if they forget how to complete this type of problem.
