This "World War II: The Rise of the Dictators" Distance Learning Activity includes:
1) A graphic organizer and document-based activity that gives your students the opportunity to investigate the dictators of WWII. Your students will fill out a graphic organizer that asks questions about the backgrounds of four major dictators: Adolf Hitler, Hideki Tojo, Joseph Stalin and Benito Mussolini. Next students will read a "Top Secret" military brief about Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo in order to answer questions about their rise to power and the actions they took as dictators.
This activity can be used in many different ways in the classroom. Students can work independently, in pairs or this activity can be used as a jigsaw in order to facilitate a class wide discussion about these dictators.
