Description
Build a Turkey Obstacle Course in this Thanksgiving STEM Challenge!
In the The Great Turkey Race STEM Activity, students design and build a Turkey Obstacle Course! An excellent companion activity to the Thanksgiving read aloud book The Great Turkey Race by Steve Metzger.
The Turkey Obstacle Course STEM Project:
Engage your students with the design process as they build a Turkey Obstacle Course.
Students plan, design, and execute their own ideas. After they have completed their activity, there is time for reflection in a STEM Journal to think through what worked and what didn't.
In addition to building the Turkey Obstacle Course, students must write out each of the steps of their course and write instructions for a turkey to complete it.
Aligns with NGSS and Common Core.
