Description

The 'R' stands for reading and is such an important part of our day. In these activities, we are linking STEAM projects to a read aloud. This pack is dedicated to the picture book, "How to Catch a Turkey," by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton. Students are asked to build a turkey trap and they must stay within a budget and can only use certain materials to build a trap that will stop all the craziness caused by the turkey!

Your kids will have a blast with this book and the activities included in this Thanksgiving STEM project. There is enough included where you could focus on this book for an entire day OR you could come back to this a few times during the week. Because multiple subjects are integrated into this pack, you will find many ways to use the contents. Your students will love participating in this engineering project in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
